Dr. Christian Soyk
Founder & CEO
Chris is a former Bain & Co management consultant with global experience in airline consulting. He worked in network planning at Lufthansa and has an aerospace engineering background and a Ph.D. in Economics. Chris uses his expertise in data analytics and market experience to develop optimal solutions.

David Hoar
VP Sales & Customer Success
David joined Skailark in 2023 to drive growth, onboard new clients, develop new partnerships, and ensure long-term customer success. He has been the sales lead for Airlines, Travel, and Transport sectors at SaaS/DaaS technology firms, including Verint, Sitecore/Boxever, Oracle, and Experian. He studied Economics at Middlesex University in London and previously worked in banking & finance.
Nicolas Bunin
Founders Associate
Nicolas joined Skailark in 2024, bringing experience from both start-ups and strategic consultancies. At Skailark, he manages Marketing, HR, Sales, Legal, and IT operations. He holds two master’s degrees from the University of Rotterdam and the University of St. Gallen.
Aurelius Noell
VP Strategy & Business Development
Aurelius joined Skailark in August 2023 as VP strategy and is responsible for growing revenue, evaluating growth areas and opportunities as well as providing industry insights. He adds 20+ years of experience starting, managing and growing low-cost airline brands globally and since 2020 is also a general partner in a VC-fund focused on investing and supporting travel and transportation technology start-ups.
Guy Maclean
Regional Vice President
Guy brings 35 years of aviation experience to Skailark, with leadership roles across Australia, Asia, Europe, and Russia. An Australian pilot with aviation Bachelors and Masters degrees, he has held management positions at Qantas and both the national Australian Pilots and Licensed Aircraft Engineers Associations. Guy helped launch Russia’s first low-cost airline, Avianova, and joined the start-up team of Cobalt.aero in Cyprus, securing its AOC and IOSA certifications. Now Regional Vice President, he first connected with Skailark while developing Fly Atlantic Airways and focuses on expanding our presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Kristina Soyk
Head of Marketing
Kristina has been with Skailark since July 2018, bringing her expertise in social media and online marketing. Prior to joining Skailark, she worked as a social media and marketing specialist at KMLZ, a law firm specializing in sales tax law, and was part of the branding team at Boston Consulting Group. At Skailark, Kristina manages the company’s social media channels and oversees communication related to career opportunities.

Dr. Ulrike Schmalz
Head of Product
Ulrike joined Skailark beginning of 2023 as Head of Product and focuses on fuel, demand, and revenue modeling as well as data management and customer-specific projects. She completed a Ph.D. in multimodal air travel modeling and worked previously as head of trend research at an aviation think tank and in management consulting.
Fabian Madl
Aviation Data Analyst
Fabian brings a diverse background in both aviation and management to Skailark. Currently a First Officer on the B757, he has previously held roles such as Technical Supplier Manager at MTU Aero Engines and Management Consultant at Capgemini, specializing in aerospace strategy. Fabian holds a Master of Science in Management from the TUM School of Management.
Osman Bağbaşlıoğlu
Head of Digital Twin
Osman joined Skailark in 2023, dedicated to developing the Digital Twin product with a focus on fuel and aircraft models. A graduate of Özyeğin University in Aviation Management and double major in International Business and Trade, Osman brings experience as an IT Business Analyst and gained a diverse skill set through internships in aviation, banking, and services.
Khaled Adel
Product Designer
Khaled joined Skailark in May 2023 having started his career in 2009. He has worked extensively with both national and international clients, honing his skills and gaining experience in various design roles. Having had the opportunity to collaborate with diverse clients and projects, he is now a proud member of the Skailark team.
Saad Arshad
Aviation Data Analyst
Saad joined Skailark due to his specialty in developing Overflight and Airport Models, managing public financial data collection and validation. He has diverse experience in fintech and e-commerce industries and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich, focusing on Management and Computer Engineering.
